nVIDIA released new official beta drivers version for operating Linux , Solaris and FreeBSD operating systems. For Linux there are two versions accessible under platforms with different architecture x86 and x86-64. Those drivers where released on 10 April 2007.

This version includes :

* improved support to the GeForce 8 and 9 power management control.

* stability improvements for GeForce 8

* corrected error : failures in some configurations twin View TV- out with GeForce 8

* corrected error : openGL failures, for example, in Counter-Strike under Wine

* improvements in processing memory expansion gLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap

* corrected error : incorrect status powerMizer

* improved : behaviour of nvidia-xconfig with processing configuration files without module section

* problem fixed, failures of systems in some notebook Toshiba.
